Ebook and Video Databases

Some databases search for books and videos instead of articles. We have two major ebook databases and two major streaming video databases. All have good economic information.

Browse the Shelves

How does shelf browsing work?
  • Print books are placed on the shelves in order of their call numbers.
  • The call number represents the subject of the book, which means books shelved together are about similar subjects.
  • If you find one book on your topic, you can look at the space around it to find more.

The majority of the collection is organized by Dewey Decimal Classification call numbers. As of summer 2018, the library is transitioning to Library of Congress Classification, beginning with all new books and frequently-used books.
