UI 436: Agriculture Ethics

WHAT ETHICAL CONCERNS DO YOU HAVE FOR THE LAND AND ENVIRONMENT?

“We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children."  This quote is often attributed to Chief Seattle, a Suquamish and Duwamish American Indian of the Northwest. In other words, when it comes to the land, the animals, and the environment as a whole, one should always consider the next generation.  And as farmers and ranchers, or soil scientists and researchers, we should always concern ourselves with the ethical and responsible use of the land, animals and environment. This is where Agriculture and Ethics come into play.

This Course Guide may prove useful in doing research in Agriculture Ethics.  The various tabs lead to research sources, topics, organizations and books that are readily available at Kent Library.
