Books are great  information sources.
Search the Kent Library Catalog to find both ebooks and print books.

Both Kent Library and MOBIUS books can be sent to you at your Regional Campus for pickup. It's easy and convenient! 
Simply use the Request feature.


  • Use the Kent Library catalog to find books, ebooks, reference books,  multimedia, and government documents.
  • The catalog can be searched by keyword, author, title, & subject.
  • Use the Advanced Search to limit to a type of material, such as ebook.
     
  • Search millions of items. 
    • Expand your Search to MOBIUS to locate & request books at college and university libraries throughout Missouri and beyond.
  • Use our eBook Collection  database to find and use over 138,000 ebooks on a variety of topics. Use a few pages, a chapter, or the whole book!  You can print specfic pages or email them to yourself. Plus,you will get information on how to cite them.
  • These ebooks are also listed in the Kent Library catalog.

Word & Terms

Career, occupation, profession, job, etc. are words often used interchangeably to mean the same thing.

When searching for information about a particular career, such as teaching or chemistry or agriculture or graphic art try using several of those words along with the name of your career.  Doing so can help you find more sources.

Also, make sure to think about and use all terms that might describe your desired career.  For example, if you want to find career information about teaching, use words like teaching, teacher,and educator.

Teamwork, writing, communication, speaking, etiquette, soft skills
When looking up information about 'soft' skills that can make you successful in your career, remember to use also words for the specific skills you are interested in.
