Overcoming Struggles

  • If you are struggling or feel like you could benefit from some additional academic assistance, reach out to Learning Assistance Programs. Located in room 412 on Kent Library's fourth floor, LAP offers writing support, tutoring for select classes, and a math learning center.

  • If you need help on how to study, visit https://www.how-to-study.com/ for free resources. You are responsible for your education, so make sure you utilize all the tools at your disposal to make the most of it.

  • Keep checking your email frequently to ensure you don’t miss any important emails.

  • If you aren’t doing well in a course, you may be considering dropping it. Before you do, please get in touch with your instructor to discuss your progress and Student Financial Services (SFS) at 573-651-2253 or sfs@semo.edu to see how dropping will impact you financially. If you think you still want to drop, please contact your advisor to discuss how it will affect you academically. Have these discussions sooner rather than later!
