  • Has a preference for more recent results.
  • After searching, you can filter results by when it was published, to find the the best match results or the most recent results, and by different news sources. 
  • You can get updates on new results for a search with a Live account. 
  • You can create interests with a Live account and get new results based on those interests.

  • Google search but only for what are identified as news sources. 
  • Prioritizes very recent results by default. 
  • Will gather multiple sources covering the same topic together to make it easy to find multiple perspectives. Click the full coverage button to see more stories. 
  • Clicking the advanced search (the triangle icon at the end of the search bar) gives you additional options for creating your search. 
  • Google identifies topics for news stories that you can follow for more information. 
  • Google will make suggestions for stories based on information it has collected on you.
