We are available to provide library instruction through Zoom, Teams, Skype for Business, or whichever synchronous video service you are using with your students. Like always, please request at least a week ahead of when you want to do the session so that we have time to prepare.
Please contact Stephanie Hayes (shayes@semo.edu) to schedule instruction. If you have a relationship with a librarian already, please feel free to contact them directly.
Research guides bring together library and other information resources for a subject, a topic, or a specific course and assignment. They mix access to resources and instructions on how to best use them.
Besides the "Student Guide for Library Use During COVID-19," we have a number of ready-made guides to finding and using library resources by subject, course, and general topic. You can browse them below.
If there is not a guide that meets your needs, we can create new ones for whole subjects and for courses.
Besides research guides, we can make tutorials on how to find and use library and other information resources. Tutorials can provide more help with the actual process of finding and using information resources than a research guide can. Tutorials can be videos or interactive web tools (example interactive web tutorial). Tutorials can also be embedded into research guides or Moodle.
Please contact Stephanie Hayes (shayes@semo.edu) to request a guide or tutorial. Please give about a week for the creation of a research guide and longer for creating tutorials.
We can still provide research assistance to you and your students remotely. We have three main methods:
