Federal government materials acquired since the early 2000s are listed in the library catalog. Call numbers are provided for tangible materials, and links for digital resources. Use the same Subject Headings as you would for a book search as noted under the Finding Books tab above.
For older, historic materials, ask for assistance at the Reference Desk or through the Ask Us link on the library web page.
There are several government search engines and other tools that lead to information and databases developed and maintained by various agencies. These include:
USA.gov -- the public portal to the federal government, it also provides links to a variety of state and local resources.
MetaLib -- a federated search engine that will search an aggregate of about sixty federal databases or selected topical subsets.
Govinfo.gov -- a website with a high-powered search capability, a content management system, and a standards-compliant preservation
repository all in one, Govinfo indexes current resources and provides access to digitized historical collections as well.
Catalog of Government Publications -- an online catalog of federal government materials including call numbers and links, where
